With more than 16 years of communications experience, Greta drafts compelling marketing copy and executes targeted visibility programs for a variety of public and private sector organizations.  Her writing has appeared across a wide variety of media—from news publications and marketing collateral, to speeches, Senate testimony and Presidential proclamations.  And Greta's recent public relations and marketing work has garnered industry honors including a PR Week Award, a PR News Platinum PR Award, and an Arlington’s Best Business Award.     


Since 2003, Greta has managed a range of copywriting and public education efforts for the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) including the Campaign for Disability Employment and America’s Heroes at Work—a national campaign designed to help veterans with traumatic brain injury and post-traumatic stress disorder succeed in the workplace.  She currently serves as a speechwriter and copywriter for DOL’s Office of Disability Employment Policy where she frequently drafts collateral materials as well as Assistant Secretarial level speeches, blog posts and other bylined work.  Her writing and editing work also extends to the American Bankers Association for which she drafts copy for direct mail and online marketing campaigns.  Other recent clients include the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA), Segue Technologies, Clearpath Solutions and Dataprise.  In 2007, she worked with Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) and HBO Documentary Films to help launch the ADDICTION campaign—an unprecedented, nationwide community outreach effort that explored advancements in the understanding of drug and alcohol addiction. 


Greta launched her PR career in the Washington, D.C. office of Ketchum Public Relations, a worldwide, top-ten PR agency.  As a vice president/account supervisor, she directed the agency’s Public Sector Marketing Practice and managed Ketchum’s IBM Software and PeopleSoft (now Oracle) accounts.  Prior to joining Ketchum, Greta served as director of marketing at Washington’s Susan Peterson Productions Inc. (now The Communication Center), one of the nation’s leading media and presentation coaching agencies.


Greta earned her M.A. in public communication from the American University and her B.A. in communications from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  A graduate of Leadership Arlington, she is an active member of the Arlington, Virginia community.  She sits on the Board of Directors of the Arlington Chamber of Commerce and is a past chair of Volunteer Arlington Day.  Additionally, she was appointed by the Arlington County Board to serve as a commissioner on the Arlington Commission for the Arts.
